It has to be said.

The refs stripped him of a win tonight. Well stripped the team. But after that performance and the no call on Wade whacking his head, they stripped him. I know the players most likely aren't looking at this board (or are they?), but this has to be said especially with the bs this guys had to endure the past year...

As a Celtics fan, I appreciate everything you do for us Rondo. The heart you put into the game and your performance, your unselfishness, and your willingness to score and lead the team when called upon. I never want to hear another trade rumor involving you again. You deserve to be a celtic for life. You deserved the victory tonight and the league stripped you of it. Don't feel bad about this game though, because us Celtics fans support you for life!

whatever happens, our future is bright with an amazing player who continues to put his name on records above and next to players like bird, robertson, stockton, magic, and other greats.

Amen. Best playoff performance from a point guard ever, in my opinion. I find it superior to The Magic Game and Isaiah's 25 pt 3rd quarter game because those players were already established superstar/hall of fame caliber players when they achieved those feats. Rondo was an all-star, but a notch below those guys in terms of historic greatness and was not widely considered a top of the league type player. With this incredible game in the ECF, Rondo has burst onto the scene of legitimate superstars. To do that on such a big stage in such an impressive way, and without subbing out once, makes it the best game to me.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

TP for this post!  We should be celebrating the great effort and guts that our team shows, not trying to tear them down because they don't put up 40points / 20 assists every night.

Bravo Rajon.  Don't give up on the series!

Thanks for this post. I'm new here, but I was a lurker before. It's just sad to read so many people not appreciating Rondo.  :-[ Win or lose, Rondo is still random/inconsistent.

I'm a huge fan of Rondo and the Celtics. Thank you, Rajon Pierre Rondo. Keep it up! We are so proud of you.  :)

Here here. Rondo just wouldn't let us lose tonight. He just won't. I think and I hope I'm right about this, I think he just made that big step to becoming the franchise player.

Pretty sure his teammates recognize it right now.

Hats of and I'm sorry Rajon, that the refs blew this career night.

TP, and totally agree with the assessment as well as the Rondo love ... too bad we don't see more of these threads when he doesn't have record-breaking performances, though. When appreciation for his talents and efforts reach this level at down-times, then I'll know it's where it should be. ;)

I loved how he just simply shot the ball, no hesitation.  I honestly didn't care if he made them or not, but you can see that he is a good shooter when he is on and open.  He was the best player in the NBA last night, and he didn't need 24 foul shots to score 30 points.
