Although we lost, this team made me so proud in game 2. I saw their effort, the hussle, the intensity, passion, desire, believe and focus. They fought hard and showed the heart of a champion. Played descent basketbal for 53 minutes and bounched back after Q3.
Kevin Garnett just plays with so much celtic pride that I can feel it at home back in the Netherlands. Rondo played tough, took this team on his back and played phenomennal. Pierce is a true celtic warrior and I like everything he did for the team. I like how the young and role players get into the celtic pride. Pietrus, Bass and Dooling have the right mentality and starting to know what it is to be a Celtic.
All this said I am proud to support this wonderful team and franchise. Celtic pride will forever last in my life and even if the Heat sweap us and win 5 championships in a row I am proud to be a celtic. And we got something to be proud off, the heat doesn't. They are just a bunch of crappy, arrogant guys with 2 superstars with one who is just the best player on the planet.
This is tough, playing pretty well and we're still left with nothing. Maybe it would be better to lose in blowout fashion than in a 'heartbreaker' game like this one. This defeat might be the dagger although we still got loads to play for, win game 3 and make it a series.
At the end of the day, we're with our back against the wall, an era almost ending but we won't go away quietly and without pride and heart. We probably don't have the pieces and health to overcome this but whatever happens a true Celtic fan can always say he got more to be proud off then a bandwagon Heat fan.
I just love the Boston Celtics and everything close to it. The Heat fans didn't make any noise in an OT game. Now let's show what a real crowd is and inspire this team like we've never done before.
