1. Poor free throw shooting 11-21, if we made 17/18-21 its a ball game.

2. Stupid technical fouls, 2 or 3 I am not sure, but they killed any run. Not saying the Refs lost us the game but def didnt help.

3. Why was Stiemsma guarding Battier? Last I checked GS is a center and Battier was a sg/sf.

4. Where was our toughness?  No hard fouls no knocking players down, we're the Celtics!! We play tough defensive games. 

5. LeBron needs to be smacked for that stupid laughing at KG, it looks worse with his stupid mouth piece.

6. Ray needs to sit, not that he will cuz we know how Doc is, but it would make more sense to have either Pav or Pietrus start at the 2 and guard Wade at this point.

7. Pierce isn't going to save us offensively, nor can he guarding LeBron.

8.  Kg needs to dominate, name me one Heat player that can guard KG since there is no Bosh? 

9.  Rondo needs to step up and average a triple double and then some. I also wouldn't mind seeing Rondo guard Wade is Doc is going to continue to start Ray.

10.  On a positive thought, I do not think we will shoot 50% from the line, I dont think Paul or/and Ray will play that poorly.  I would hope Pietrus can contribute more then 1 point from here on out.

Good string of thoughts. the ones that stick out most to me are;

3. Steamah guarding battier...Makes zero sense... Takes Steamah completely out of the middle allow the Heat to get into the paint at will without anyone to change his shot... Steamah's best basketball talent is his shot blocking ability, why put him on Battier who roams the three point line?

4. No toughness is definitely a big one.

5. That stupid mouth piece! Whats the deal with that... Missing teeth? or what is it? I cant figure it out but it annoys the bejesus out of me.

6. Why isnt Petey starting. We need his defense and we need to limit Rays minutes.

All good points. Making free throws is a must. I agree that we should go twin towers on 'em with KG and Steamah. I also want KG to get the ball more in the post, but that's not gonna happen unless the Cs start knocking down some outside shots. I admire Ray's desire to play, but he's pretty much toast right now; I'd rather see Pietrus start—he's a better defender than Ray to begin with, more so now with Ray hurt, and I also like how (in the last couple games, at least) Pietrus has been taking it to the rack more.

My one point of disagreement with the OP: If nothing changes, the Cs will lose in 4.

Anybody who thinks Pietrus outplayed Allen (offense or defense) yesterday wasn't paying attention.

not if we do like many have said and stick with 2 big guys the whole game. rotate hollins, steamer and KG at power forward and C. make them stay low and pound miami unmercifully. maybe even bass and pierce as well. whatever it takes. everybody go to the paint this game.

and we have to play zone on D or wade and james will kill us driving to the rack all game like last game. we need a big guy in the paint on D to swat those shots away should they get through. If we lose due to miami consistently making outside shots then so be it but I do not think they can beat us that way. It will not be like we are giving up uncontested jumpers anyway. But we MUST shut down their drives to the paint with zone defense. LET'S DO THIS, TONIGHT! LET'S GO CELTICS!
