I agree with you. I knew they weren't gonna win this game and I'm not even all that mad about this loss. I just hope they see this loss as a lesson, learn from it and hope to win game 2.

this. doc sounded like he would make some serious adjustments for game 2 aswell.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

I am and always will be a "half-full" guy, especially when it comes to my beloved Celtics, but what really upset me tonight was not that the C's lost, but that they played poorly.

If they play their best and give 110% effort like I know they can, (and like they do the majority of the time), then I will be proud of them, whatever the end result.

But they only played one good quarter tonight, and the other three quarters were very short on execution, hustle, and most importantly, effort.

The thing is, if they do play their best, the result will be nothing but positive, because when they play that way, they can beat anyone.

As I've said before on this blog, the only opponent that scares me is the Celtics, because they can be their own worst enemy, and they showed that tonight.

Yes we're ageing, injured, and short-handed, but we still have enough pieces to play stifling defense against Miami, and beat them at their own game ... we've already proven that this year.

This game one loss may be the best thing that could've happened, because the Heat have a tendency to become complacent in series basketball, and we can use that to our advantage.

I have no doubt that Doc will make the needed adjustments, but I'm even more certain that our boys will be playing at a much higher level in game two.

It's been a while since we've played an entire game at our most intense, and I think it's time.

Go Celtics!

the Celtics have a tendency of losing the first road game in the series...think of against the Cavs in 2010, Atlanta in the first round.

I think we'll rebound and win game 2.

no matter how we played, there was NO way the refs were going to let us win this game

Did he what'd he touch on in his press conference? I couldn't stomach any ESPN or NBA TV

i couldn't even post in the rondo is ruining it for the celtics thread  ::)

even though we didn't play that well last night (besides rondo, kg, mp, greg), we make our free throws this is much closer, I think the team ended up around 50%

Nothing I saw in last night's game made me think that Miami is clearly the better team in this matchup.

We allowed them to score so many points on uncontested layups.  I have a feeling that will not happen again, ever.

You can't score 26 points in 2 quarters against this team and beat them.  But if I had told you we would score only 11 points in the 1st, and 15 in the 3rd, before the game, what would you estimate for the final score have been?  95-60???

We just need to win 1 game in Miami at some point in this series.  That is all.  3 more chances for that.

We played like crap, got hammered on the boards, were victims of NBA reffing and we were still in the game for 2/3 of it.

If anything game 1 was going to be the hardest...hopefully with some rest we can take game 2. Series isn't over after 1 game. They'll make adjustments
