Considering Pietrus injury, is he that much better than MDaniels and Sasha?  Really? Is he an irreplaceable All-Star?

The way I see it, those three are interchangeable, and when one doesn’t have it, you plug in the next one.  Easy!

We can’t afford to have an injured RAllen/PP/Bradley replaced by an injured Pietrus.

Solution: keep Pietrus in as long as he is giving you good minutes; otherwise replace him with Sasha/Daniels depending on matchups. Like I said, Easy!

I thought Pietrus finally played well last night and he gave good minutes. i didnt see room for, or a need for daniels or sasha... The only time Daniels has played for us this postseason, he was in the game for about 12 seconds and committed two fouls...One of which could have been very crucial against us if the correct call was made.

The post is meant to include the past few weeks, not just the last night game where obviously he did well for a short strecth.

Daniels had a big game against ATL when Rondo sat.  In the 4th quarter he defended JJ very well.  I am not saying to play Daniels or Sasha over Pietrus, but to be flexible and to keep in mind that Pietrus is replaceable.

Completely agree with the OP. Pietrus offers better D but the other 2 aren't far behind at all. Sasha offers same offense (maybe better) as Pietrus. Daniels offers similar offensive production but more versatility.

If one is struggling plug the other guy in there and see if one gets hot.

I do like how Sasha and Quis are bit better ball handlers and distributors.

They are essentially doing the same thing with Bass, Stiems, and Hollins

Destroys Marquis.  Him and Sasha are pretty much the same player.  Excellent defense, no offense other than 3s and the occasional long 2.  If Pietrus becomes as hot as he was early, or starts attacking the basket like he did in Orl he's on a whole different level than Sasha.

I'd continue to ride him out and see what happens.  From what I can understand the knee isn't really holding him back, just swelling after games.  However if Doc decides to give Sasha a chance and see if he gets hot I'm completely fine with that (in fact it would be a huge improvement for ball movement).
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Sasha actually isn't a bad slasher. Pietrus is pretty much done as a slasher or anything other than shooting 3 pointers. We have a 70 game sample of this. I did the math the other day and it is eye popping the number of 3's he's takes compared to 2's. Its like Novak level except Pietrus shoots them at an Okay level
