Just think about it OJ @ sixth man, would be a huge deal for boston. would be that offensive weapon that this team needs off the bench, yes he was not super great in Memphis but playing with rondo could really help his game offensively.

The Celtics are a defense-first team.  Every time someone suggests bringing in a scoring wing not noted for defense, I think it has a good chance of working out about as well as Corey Maggette did in Milwaukee.

Jeff Green will likely be the 6th man next year, if he isnt starting at the 4. If the future of the Cs includes Rondo and AB as the starting front court (I hope it does) then our 6th man should be a scoring 2/3 to make for an efficient rotation. I have suggested in a previous post that Terrance Ross would be a good fit coming off the bench for this very fact.

example

(I used freedom in placing players who fit my examples)

PG Rondo 36min, AB 12min
SG AB 24min, T Ross 24min
SF Pierce 30min, JGreen 10 min, T Ross 6min
PF J Green 24min, Wilcox 24min
C  KG 30min, Steimsma 18 min,

that makes for a 8 man rotation in 2012-2013 with hopefully JJJ working his way into some minutes
