I rather have Ray rest until the 2nd round. The way i see it, we do not really need Ray atm against the Hawks. He will help no doubt. But I believe the Cs can take care of them without Ray Ray. I rather have ray have more rest against Chi/Phi than to rush him back. If we are to make a deep playoff run, we need Ray as close to 100% as possible

i think the reason why he might be brought out is because theres no amount of rest that can make him feel better. i think at this point its surgery or cortisone shots, but rest is not an option.  he's on a bunch of cortisone right now.

Great news, but I'd rather keep him out another game or two if he even feels the slightest bit of discomfort in his ankle. I have a feeling that Rondo will be looking to take over tomorrow night to redeem himself for the suspension.

Jeff Teague, while a nice player, has no chance at slowing down a locked-in Rondo.

I'd rather just ride Rondo, AB, Paul and KG and get solid contributions from Bass and the bench and let Ray sit out some more.

Agreed; we'd probably get more production from Ray by playing him every other game honestly

Unfortunately it seems like he wont recover until after he has surgery. So he'll be playing hurt for the whole of our playoff run regardless. From what doc said at the training interview it seems that this is the best its going to get and he may aswell give Ray a shot even if he's not going to be 100%.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Ray's not going to be 100% until after he has surgery.  If he can play without risk of further injury, he should play.  We're likely to win vs ATL, but we're no lock, and we don't have any bench scoring.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
They have decided to see if he's able to play through practice as an experiment for the 2nd round.

If he makes it through practice and then can play, they'll know he'll be okay to practice during the next round.

If he can't, he'll rest another game or two, and then probably play in game 6.

We definitely need his spacing against the Heat.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Teague seems to have a "jones" for the Celtics.  I guess he hates us too.

Won't matter Teague,  Rondo is going to crush you guys tonight.
Pay back is  comming.

Riding a bike is tooo keep some semblance of Cardio.   It doesn't mean he is ready to play, I hope so but I have my doubts.

So if ray is able to get through the practicesfine, why just not have him practice and just play in the games? Hopefully that ankle responds well today

I don't  have any  problem with giving him some minutes tonight if hes made it through  practice.
