Just a quick question...

If rondo gets suspended for one game for misconduct against a referee, do the referees get handed suspensions for all-round incompetence and the inability to make the right call??

No.

To my knowledge in regards to officiating entirely there is no reward or punishment for making good or bad calls.

Which is pretty obvious since you see the same refs year in and year out making the same boneheaded calls

Allegedly the NBA has their own vigorous referee performance review. Stern has gone to bat for them multiple times on this count. Its internal and confidential however.

Also, on top of a game by game review of officials, officials are required to submit a self-review after each game.

Of course none of this is available for public viewing.

If it's "confidential" why should we believe it?  For all we know, they're holding private parties together conspiring against the Celtics...

Yeah well no one has any knowledge of this whatsoever so not really saying much. Im not a conspiracy guy but really we know absolutely nothing when it comes to this. No one does.

Stern doesn't even say what they do with this info. From the outside looking in at appears that he has done absolutely nothing with it.

Guys just being terrible at their jobs but Stern gives them a pat on the but every year saying "good work"

I did find it interesting that Tony Mazz said yesterday on the sports hub that his dad told him all the time growing up that Basketball was fixed.

Personally I choose not to believe in the conspiracy's but if I found out later in life that it was fixed I wouldnt be surprised.

Maybe Mark Cuban can secret pay a bunch of sports fans to do a website that reviews every single call and non-call.
