The Boston Celtics have defeated the Atlanta Hawks 4 times eliminating them from the playoffs
1972 Conference semi-finals 4-2
1986 First Round 4-1
1988 Conference semi-finals 4-3
2008 First Round 4-3

In each case they had home court advantage.

I understand the desire to want to rest your team.  However, I can recall thinking last week in the match-up in Atlanta that it was a mistake to cede home court advantage to the Hawks.  I do not know who was physically able to play among the Celtics who were held out.
Clearly there was a thought that the Celtics would win one on the road to make up the loss of of the home court advantage.

It is easy to think that not having Rondo due to a more than likely suspesion for his bumping the official in Game 1.  It would be understandable for some Celtics to lament that Ray Allen was not healthy.

However, I can't help thinking that the Celtics would have won Game 1 had it been at home.
Certainly, it would have made a difference.  And I think that if the Celtics are ousted in the first round there has to be some consideration given to the fact that we gave up home court and it proved costly.

We wouldn't have won last night at home, Atlanta, or in a neutral arena.  Our entire starting front line didn't show up for the game.

You're agreeing with yourself? Do you have to type it, though? It's a bit, you know, weird.

Likely a sock puppet fail and/or bump due to disappointment over lack of response in 10 minutes.

Ah the Humor...

But alas no.  All out of sock puppets.

My friend entered the second post when I left the room.   :o  Sorry.  'bout that.

No problem, Rondo's outburst has me punch today. (well plus it is a Monday)

Yeah Redz very similar to a self like, those always make me wonder too.

Guilty. It usually has to do with doing stuff with my son so I don't care :)

Exactly. Don't blame Doc...the players never showed up.
