Let's bring Dee Brown back in the organization

Reading this article, it seems that he really loves to be in beantown. He is even happy that some fans still remember him. Should we invite him to be an assistant coach for Doc? Maybe another work in the organization.

He was coaching sprinfield d league team and did not seem to be that good in games i went to

He was certainly impressive on that ESPN broadcaster 'gameshow' that was on about 10 years ago - so good in fact that he won. I don't know what he would do with that, but he could certainly be a television personality of some kind. If he came into the organization as a coach, he would have to start out pretty low on the ladder, but he seems worth a look. The Reebok Pump dunk contest is as famous as any...

I would rather have him than Donny at least Dee was a Celtic.

Maybe he should be a commentator along with tommy :D

Am I wrong that Dee only had 1 or 2 good, not great, years as a Celt--showed unfulfilled physical potential.  Not an especially hard worker, not a cerebral player or even a fundamentally sound player.  Then traded to Orlando where he also underachieved.  Apart from winning the dunk contest I am not sure why we think he has much to offer.  I can come up with many former Celt's that I think have more coaching potential.

Dee was always a favorite of mine. By the way, would have to give Troy Brown the highest marks as a recent Boston Athlete gone commentator. Even better than Bruschi and far better than Schilling.

Would love to see Dee back in the organization if it were in the right role.

I was born in '90, and I remember him being my first favorite player as a little kid.  Followed, of course, by 'Toine.

There are many department in the organization besides coaching. Mind you, he is a computer programmer. He can be a technical staff in the back office if he wants to.
