Fouls called right when it's time for a TV timeout

I have noticed this recently but I am sure that it has always been the case:

Officials are quick to make calls as soon as the clock goes below 9:00, 6:00, or 3:00 (depending on the quarter) even if there is no real case to do it (e.g. a touch foul, defensive 3 seconds.)

It is very frustrating because you feel as if the TV networks have a strong influence on the game.

Would it be wise for the players to adjust to this? It affects every single team in the league.
