I will admit, strangely so, that I love seeing the combo of Rondo and Bradley to start games. I never thought I would say it due to how much i disliked bradley at the beginning of the year but he is playing a huge role for us this season. Its amazing what some god pressure defense can do for your team. Ray, i think at this point, would be best suited for the 6th man role...

However, I would be worried about him being able to create his own shot with the second unit. Ray is a stellar 3rd or 4th option for us in the starting 5... With the second unit, he would be the number one guy and would be getting guarded by the opposing teams best defender. He cant create his own shot as well as he used to and I fear he would get shut down fairly easily if the opposing teams best defender was playing him tight, especially with Ray being the only real scoring threat of the second unit.

RAY HAS NO ANKLES.

All those many thousands of jump shots and numerous NBA seasons have left him with very bad ankles. Just watch him move.

Paul has no knees left. KG is an amazing specimen;but his mobility is not what it used to be either.

Man that's what happens when you get older.

But the Big 3 at 80% is still better than 90% of the other players in the league.

They just need to stay healthy.

I can't believe I'm saying this but bleacher report's article about Bradley/Ray actually summed up the reasons for Avery starting really nicely.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Apparently you dont need ankles to shoot the basketball better then anyone else on the planet

ray allen's fault or not, we lost the game. But without him we have been winning.

Now we did face a very tough spurs team and it was close. Maybe next game we can judge better what a lineup with a starting ray allen can do.

I still think Bradley should start and ray allen should come off the bench. I still believe that Ray Allen should have been traded for a future piece. (for a legit future centre)

The problem with Ray is the playcalling when hes on the floor.  The 16 seconds of trying to get him free on picks is not working and generally results in bad possessions.
