If we traded Paul Pierce I reckon Ainge would get a similar reception.

Monta Ellis is no Paul Pierce.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
The same thing would've happened to Ainge after he traded Antoine the first time or in 06-07 during the losing streak. Fans for the most part are very short sited with even shorter memories. Trading Ellis for Bogut isn't going to excite any Warriors fan until Bogut actually plays and does something meaningful.

I dont blame the fans.

The organization wreaks of incompetence and they just came off of trading the face of the franchise for a guy who can't stay on the court.

Simmons with a pretty good overview of how the Warriors - and their fans - got to this point:

Gotta say, as much as Simmons can be repetitive and whiny, you don't get this kind of material from other writers.  I'd forgotten just how many awful moves the Warriors have made over the years.
