And that's about it.

A new offense, rebooting the current squad, is to stop with attempting to execute a play.

Here's play number one, Rondo dribbles the ball up, passes to KG for an alley oop. And that's it, a high percentage one-two play.

Play number two, Rondo dribbles the ball up, and takes a jumpshot. Other Cs players box out for a rebound.

Replay the above for a handful of possessions until Rondo's defender starts to contest the shot. Ok, now someone in the Cs will be open. Then, Rondo can switch to being a pass-first PG.

Doc has actually added rondo on the high post with guys running off him, rondo posting up some guards and the new hesitating fast break which I love.

it'll all be good, i love the effort our team puts out, ray stays lets hope he brings it like last year after the trade proposals

Without Magic's greyhound Lakers, a fast break game will fall off the wheels during the playoffs. And even the Lakers of old had Kareem-to-Worthy back court moves to fall back on.

All and all, if Rondo took a shot, regardless of whether or not it falls in, it keeps the squad's offense from stagnating, even if a bunch of possessions are unsuccessful.

Look at it like this... if Rondo takes a shot, it's 33% likely that it'll go it. That's a third.

If it misses, another third, another Celtic can get the rebound and keep the ball in play.

And finally, one third of the time, the opponent gets the ball but if everyone keeps on their man, it won't result in a fast break back.

All and all, it prevents stagnation.

nah I like Rondo's role right now

though I must say Rondo's mid range jump shot definitely looks a lot better and a big improvement from last year...he is working on his jump shot and free throw, so give him some time and be patient

If you want Rondo to shoot more, run more pick and rolls with KG and tell Rondo not to hesitate to shoot if open.

This.

Actually i dont mind that Rondo isn't a jumpshooter, for me he dont need to improve in this area.

75+ FT% should be his goal. If he reaches this percentage his penetration would be so dangerous for our opponent. Ergo fouling Rondo wouldn't be that good anymore.

People are open now, that's why Rondo gets so many assists.

My goal for Rondo is to develop a consistent 3 point shot...he should be like Jason Kidd, if he's going to shoot a perimeter jumper, let it be a 3. There is more reward this way.

I would prefer that he attack the basket more and kick out to Allen, Pierce or Pietrus, even KG occasionally.
I moved the cheese.
