as clearly seen in this forum and this blogsite, many "fans" engage in so many discussions, from trivial to straight-up look into the eye facts..but one thing remains, we all want success for the team we support..isn't it much sweeter considering the adversity we have to overcome this season that we are still in the position to make a deep run, how come "some" people still advocate tanking for a high draft pick that doesn't promise anything anyway? since we have a clear chance to crack into the division lead anytime soon, why people are still unhappy?the choice is yours, nowadays, it's either you are in or out, we are heading to the dance, with or without a promised "big" to help us, are you just going to blabber on the side on the what-ifs and coulda beens or just enjoy the ride?
"talent is not enough - I always admired the ones with heart..."

Well since our organization is all about championships, I would argue that any ride you're fairly certain won't end in a championship will be pretty hard to enjoy.

I think it's just some people have a negative disposition in life or like to pile on whatever is popular.  They either always see the glass half empty or they like to take take take till there's no water left.  And that 's anybody not just sports fans. Think eeyore from winnie the pooh, lol :P

Maybe you don't like negativity but how about some capital letters, bud.  Some people are not happy unless they are complaining.

For me, I'm enjoying the ride. We all knew that it would get to this point eventually. Danny's "Three-Year" plan turned into a 5-Year plan to compete for banners, and it's nearing its end. We achieved one banner, one near-miss, and two critical knee injuries (KG and Perk) that could've otherwise swung the outcome our way.

Even now, we are still dealing with medical issues (Wilcox, Jeff Green, JO). Every one of these guys tried their hardest and could've helped along the way.

But yet, some of us at times have thrown them under the bus. I guess that is their right. It's not mine, though.

I'm not bitter at all with this team. I'm glad that Danny was unable to get a deal done even though he's tried multiple times this season (Mar15 trade deadline, etc). He even tried, supposedly, to swap Rondo for CP3. He tried to sign David West.

Can't be angry at Danny for his attempts.

There may some trepidation about the upcoming "rebuilding" period. There shouldn't be. This "period" that BOS is about to go through won't be anything like the late 80's and early 90's, in that THIS time around we'll have a top-5 PG in Rajon and STILL a top-tier SF in Paul. Perhaps we can get KG and Ray back on fair deals as well. I'd love that.

We have some good picks coming in a DEEP draft. Danny could still swing a deal or two and move up. I trust him.

But the key is Rondo. He is our future. We didn't have that kind of future back with Bird/McHale/Chief. Those three (along with Ainge and DJ) grew old and worn out, and our future back then (Bias) passed, unfortunately. Then, a few years later, Reggie passed. Two tough blows to the gut for BOS.

I think when all is considered, there shouldn't be ANY concern for the future of this team, nor what BOS did or didn't accomplish. This team has done well despite its obstacles, and even still have ONE MORE SHOT at this.

I think the Celtics will be alright. Deal with highs and lows as they come because sometimes, you just don't get the right breaks.
I moved the cheese.

I like adversity.  Maybe not in the moment because I do wear my heart on the sleeve.  Every loss agonizes me but at the same time, I get to be very complacent when we win.  During our 60 win seasons, if I missed I game and I saw that we had won, I'd say "sweet" and simply move on to the next game.

Celtics are my favorite team out of the 4 pro Boston teams but I have to say, I still rank the 2001 Patriots over the 2008 Celtics because it was just that sweet.  Overcoming Drew Bledsoe's injury, beating the Raiders in the Snow Bowl, beating the heavily favored Steelers (with Drew coming back in the game and throwing a TD pass no less) and knocking off the heavily favored Rams.  I was in heaven for a long time after that.  With the Celtics, you just expected them to win.  That was nice but still, adversity makes it that much sweeter.

So if we make a miraculous run to the Finals, this squad would definitely be higher up than the 08 Celtics.  My opinion of course.
