Wizards get an A, Clippers get a B-, Nuggets get an F. I'm just not understanding the reasoning for the Nuggets other than shedding a contract which doesn't make sense unless you plan on letting McGee go. Nene has more value than just McGee, imo.

Denver trading Nene sounds more realistic than Denver trading Faried or Koufos.

Good move for Denver. That Nene contract was a bad deal. Getting out from underneath it and bringing in a prospect of McGee's caliber is an excellent piece of business.

I don't like it for Washington. Nene is too old and is owed too much money. Keeping McGee and putting more veteran leadership around him would have been a better option. It will help them in the immediate sense though (which will also hurt their draft slot this year and next and further hold back their rebuilding efforts, nice job!).

If the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers had gone through, it sounds like Nene had pretty much committed to signing with Houston to form a powerful front line with Pau Gasol.  Yet another team screwed by David Stern.  Well, kind of.  No one made Denver sign Nene once he remained available.

Trading Nene to DC also opened up enough cap room for the Nuggets to sign Wilson Chandler to a long term deal, apparently.

I get that Nene is on a big contract but on the face of it that is A DISGRACEFUL trade for denver.

Mcgee is an idiot. Nene on his day is a beast.

I just vomited everywhere.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Further driving home that fact, the Nuggets will waive Ronny Turiaf to clear Chandler's roster spot.

Would Boston be interested in the best dancing big man in the NBA? Oui.

I like him and reportedly so do the Heat. A hustling big body with defensive chops. And he should have fresh legs for the stretch run having missed most of the season with a broken hand.

Kaman is a pipe dream so pick your Frenchman, Turiaf or Diaw.

Keeping McGee and putting more veteran leadership around him would have been a better option.

But is he worth the $14 million per he's seeking? Is he even worth DeAndre Jordan's $10-$11 million per, an offer he'll likely draw in a weak F.A. market? I really don't know. I like the kid, he has heart, if also far too much vanity. He's capable of some thrilling plays, but he took a step back this season. Not something anyone in that organization wanted to see. His shot selection still hasn't improved. He remains a defensive liability despite his length, quickness and rebounding.

Nobody would argue that the Wizards suffer for want of leadership, but seemingly without any trade market at all for Andray "Baltche" Blatche, the Wizards prioritized John Wall. I can't say I blame them. With no improvement in the win loss column over the past three years somebody was getting dealt.
