i say austin is in no hurry, with a multimillionaire dad, he'll be finishing school..at the very least his junior year..

I tend to agree; I think he'll wait until he's projected to be taken in the top 10, at least.  He doesn't have the financial incentive to be one and done unless he's getting drafted that high.
you think he wants to play for cleveland or the bucks? haha

I think a guy who gave himself the nickname "Subzero" because he considers himself a cold-blooded shooter in crunch time wants to be a star, and he'll wait until he's in a position to be drafted high enough to get star treatment.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Why Not? Playing with Kyrie Irving could be more to offer then we will in the next couple years.
do it

Lol the celtics have better coaching, ownership that HAS built a contendior, and 2 allstars....irving looks good but what have cleveland ever shown to be a competant organization someone wants to play for? Because they got luck with lebron?

I would bet rivers would rather play for the celtics...but it doesn't fit the mo of doom and gloom around here

Maybe so, but in two years our 2 all-stars goes down to 1 and we may be just as bad as cleveland.
do it

My point is we have better infrastructure to build a contender...and likely we could get josh smith in 2013

Dan gilbert has never shown to be a competent owner..generally teams with good owners/management find a way to become competitive again...and teams with bad management find ways to screw it up

Austin Rivers is one and done and will be in the NBA next year.  Once he hits the road and works out for individual NBA teams, he's going to move up into the top 8 or so, unfortunately.

I can't imagine the Celtics giving much more than a bit of thought to the downside of Doc coaching his son.  Ainge has always been enthralled with drafting young talent, and this kid has buckets full of NBA talent.
