after the trade deadline.

The team just needs to get back to their defensive identity and start playing more inside-out on offense in the half court, take care of the ball, and move themselves and the ball on offense.

It's simple. Once the trade rumors die down this team will really become a team.

All these inconsistencies in their play has been frustrating to say the least but I really believe this team has enough in the tank to beat anyone in a 7 game series....as long as they're healthy and playing Celtics basketball.

I tend to agree, i think one minor move might be necessary (JO for Beasley) though.  I think this team plays up to its competition most of the time, we've never really been blown out of the building by a good team (we came back against Mavs/Thunder/Heat).

I don't know about Miami but I think they could upset Chicago. As far as going all the way or anything don't think we have what it takes, if we had Green healthy playing great and JO healthy contributing solidly who knows it is what it is.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Define serious run.

Imo, beating Miami and Bulls in a play-off series is asking a bit much of this team.

  • Rondo = Good

I admire your optimism, and I agree that once this team puts the trade deadline behind them there's a chance they could start playing a lot better as long as they have some consistency in the lineup -- which they haven't had all season due to injuries.

Still, do you realize that all of the things you just mentioned are things they haven't really ever done?  When they've done really well, it's been despite the fact that they turn the ball over a lot, don't play inside out on offense, and have stretches where they don't move the ball well.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Right now center is too big a hole for this team to be a serious contender.  They get dominated inside by any team that's physical with them.

We'll see.

The recurring theme, unfortunately, over the last couple of years is health.

IF we can stay healthy.....IF we can stay healthy...KG's knee, Perk's leg, Shaq's achilles, JO's wrist...Rondo's wrist...Marquis' back....JGreen's surgery....just sad.

We are due for a stretch of good health. I'm looking forward to it.

They barely beat two weak teams -- Cleveland and Milwaukee and now we are talking about them making a serious run? I don't think they are going to do too well on the long, long west coast trip and the April schedule is murder. I would be happier if they were in the lottery rather than the 8th seed. They might win one game if they had to play Miami in a series.
