If so, I would do this over Rondo for Gasol, any day

  • You say when......
Most teams try to GET a PG and a Center....most here think getting rid of our PG would solve our problems....When pp, kg and Ray weren't so out of shape, or just out..everyone was very happy with Rondo.......getting rid of rondo would only make another hole to fill.....

I don't know if Golden State would do it; maybe, if only to get out from under some bad contracts, but I doubt it.

I wouldn't make that trade, though.  Yes, it makes us more talented, but we'd be killing our cap for three flawed players.

  • Rondo = Good
In short, no.

In any case, I don't think a core of Rondo - Ellis - Pierce - Lee - Biedrins is really all that great.  Not worth the money.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I think Danny is thinking  "BIG" trades , not top 50 players shuffling, he wants to rebuild with superstars.  He isn't going to do all these marginal trades to slightly get better and mess up a golden chance in the next 12 months to land some serious talent.

I think he believes the C's need new foundation players, not stop gaps at this point.

He is saving his chips for the "REAL deals comming down the line ,   you can't go after the DH  types unless you got the money to spend.

This year is going to be what it is...based on the present team abilities.  Fiddling with small potatoes is waste of time.

I don't think Golden State would make it by a long shot

Biedrins has done less than nothing this year and Ellis is a poor shooting, no defense, smaller SG.  Lee is OK  and a good rebounder but not at the money he makes and he really doesn't have a good post up game. Plus it kills you salary cap wise for 3 years...
