First, Jeff Green. I mean, sure, I'm really glad they discovered it before its too late but still...

The Chris Paul trade didn't come our way (and I'm actually kind of glad) but of all the teams, the Clippers. We could have used the old Clippers with the horrid management for our pick.

Injuries...Paul Pierce, KG, Wilcox and Dooling...that's to be expected. But Bass? I was always under the impression that he's healthy as a horse.

On a smaller level...50/50 balls have been going our opponents' way...tonight...OKC that hot from downtown? I know you make your own luck on the court but...

I'm not superstitious...maybe a little stitious...

Other ways to look at our bad luck (and I don't disagree with you, since we have had more than our share since 17 in'08):

1. If Jeff Green wasn't diagnosed and his aneurysm burst, not only would it be tragic from a personal/human perspective, but think how demoralized the team and fans would be. We and he are just lucky that he will be not thought about in retrospect like Lewis/Bias.

2. It is more than ironic that not only did we lose in the CP3 sweepstakes, but the LA team whose pick we own got him to hurt our draft position.

Here's the bright side: the "other" LA team didn't get him. Small consolation, but consolation nonetheless.

3. Injuries: Bad luck or Pierce and Garnett coming into camp in horrendous shape because they didn't think/didn't want ther to be a season because of their hardline union position? I think the latter.

Make no mistake about the impact of their unpreperedness setting a bad tone for the season both with team attitude from the example they set and potentially a domino effect with injuries, esp. regarding Bass and Wilcox.

4. Bad bounces or bad effort?

Again, not disagreeing with you...just a slightly different perspective.

Good post, by the way.

TPs also to Q and thenotorious for taking the words out of my mouth as I was typing.

The only things I agree with the OP on are the Jeff Green and 50/50 ball situations.

Last night the Thunder shot 50.0% from the field and 47.4% from beyond the arc. Game, set, match.
