So I'm surprised this hasn't come up more but I could see this as a possibility maybe a pipedream a lot would have to fall into place but if Danny could play his hand right who knows this could work. Dwight Howard has long been linked to the Nets because of the desire to play with Deron Williams(if opts out) both will be free agents this coming year. I know Celtics fans dont wanna hear it but D12 wont be coming to BOS unless... So say the Celtics:

Trade Rondo and Dooling (or Steimsma)to GS for Monta Ellis, keep in mind Joe Lacob owner of GS was a minority owner of the Celtics prior to buying the Warriors last year so strong tie to the organization. Monta has been in and out of Jacksons doghouse this year (last year too), and the Celtics being the #1 defense in the league also biggest struggle is on the offensive end and we all know what Monta can do, flat out score. While we give up Defense we gain an immediate offensive boost. GS struggles on defense are well known for the past 10 yrs? Rondo whos the leagues best PG defender is a great solution for GS and then allows them to move Curry to his true position the 2. This dosent seem to outlandish does it? Win win for both teams, but you say we lose a true PG and while thats true but my solutions not done. By trading Rondo and Dooling you practically maintain the same cap space this summer for the Cs. So...what do you do? You get D12 (who claims hes not concerened about $ he just wants to win) and DWill to sign Lebron/Wade like contracts for 15mil or so per yr and what do you have? Arguably the most explosive 5 starters on paper the league has ever seen.

D Will / Monta / Pierce / KG  / D12

thoughts?

then resign green, yeah id say thats a great team and a possible solution.
