The question is, would that be a good idea?

The guy is real good, can score, play D and block shots. He would improve us a lot and would be a much better fit than JO. Plus, he's young and Rondo would have someone to run with and throw alley oops to. I've seen him play here in Serbia and Europe for a couple of years, and I can tell you that he's one of the best centers Europe has. Thi

For instance:

Celtics give up: Jermaine, Marquise/Sasha and maybe a 1st round pick

T-Wolves give up: Peković

And maybe we could throw in something else in for Beasley. What do you think?
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Yeah, it would be a good idea, but Minny would have no reason to do that.

Pekovic is performing well as a starting center (their only other options are going small or starting Darko).  He's signed on pretty good deal and they'll have the right to match when he becomes a free agent.

That's a lot more value than expirings and a first round pick.

Pekovic is a virtual 20/10 player in February once he got healthy.  I don't even think Minny moves him for Rondo straight up at this point.

David Kahn is not this bad. Nikola has become a solid 5. And it'll take more than that to land him now. Problem is, unless it's one of the big 3 (Rondo isn't needed there), we don't have more.

Yeah MIN is really looking to dump the guy right now <sarcasm>.  No offense to the OP, but the thought is just ridiculous.  Do you think a team looking for PG should be going after Lin?

Minny to give up a young, high quality, starting center for a broken-down retiree, two journeymen and a mediocre first rounder?

I don't see the slightest hint of a reason for Minny to do that.

that's a pipe dream, there are so many upsides to this guy, sort of an insurance if love accidentally goes down, a guaranteed able replacement, why would they do that? only if mchale's still there...(wink! wink!! wink!!!)

While he was the 15th man on Minnesota's roster and Pekovic kicking asses in Europe we may had a chance of bringing him, even though he was their only classic center (Darko is a 4 in the NBA really). Now, not a chance in hell.

Great job, Danny, we needed a C and you got us four shooting guards.
