The myth of Brady's greatness in the post-season should be effectively put to bed now.  He's a good quarterback, but he doesn't have some magical aura about him in big games.
How can you say this?!?

It will never be put to bed, because it is simply the truth.

Three Super Bowl wins in four years ... Five trips in ten years ... that's a myth?!?

I just don't get why people are so intent in trying to grasp at straws to prove Brady is mediocre, when the best analysts and even some of his staunchest critics, realize that he is simply one of the best QBs of all time.

It seems clear that these kinds of statements are just haters hating, and while it's certainly anyone's right to do so, (as I feel similarly of the over-hyped and big game choking Peyton Manning, though I realize he's also one of the best), it's far from sensible analysis.

Please name me the other QBs in history who have three Super Bowl wins in four years and five trips in ten ... it's a very, very short list ... and they are all "great".

Let the Tom Brady axe-grinding continue ... I guess he's just too successful, (while very far from perfect), and that rubs some people the wrong way, (no need to say why).

When was the last time Brady had a magical game in the playoffs against a decent opponent?
its a team game, when brady doesnt have a hot game someone else comes up

That's the point, though . . . this team is built to rely on Brady playing like one of the best 3 QBs in the game.

When he doesn't -- and he often doesn't in the playoffs these days -- the team is decidedly average.

My dream offseason

Trade up using two first rounders and select Luke Kuechly and move Mayo to outside linebacker in the 4-3 us both as inside backers in the 3-4

Use 2 second round picks on defensive backfiled players, one safety one corner

Free agents

Brandon Lloyd has said he wants to follow mcdaniels so I think thats a no brainer

Bring back Welker

Sign Robert Mathis from Indy

Take a run at both Mario Williams and Dwayne Bowe and see what happens.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Lloyd would be huge for the pats.  He'd be the guy to stretch the defense which we desperately need.  I don't think we need to pay Bowe though if we get Lloyd and resign Welker though.  Between, Lloyd, Gronk, Welker and Hernandez I think that's enough weapons.  Kuechly is a beast, I'd love to get him and get rid of Ninkovich.  I'm hoping they pick Harrison Smith out of Notre Dame in the second round.  He's a little older, but he's a hard nosed kid, seems like a Belichick guy.
do it

He hurt them more than he helped them in Baltimore and in the SB the safety and his pick were horrible. The defense played well enough in that game where he didn't need to be superhuman just not make foolish mistakes. He hasn't risen to the occasion in the post season in some time now.

Offense: Goal - Give Brady a target on the outside to open up middle of the field.

1) Franchise Welker
2) Let Koppen leave and re-sign Connolly
3) Sign Brandon Lloyd
4) Re-sign Branch to short term deal as 3rd receiver
5) Cut Chad
6) If money is right re-sign Benny, if not go Ridley/Vareen/Woodhead and make a depth signing.

Defense: Goal - Add impact player in pass rush or in defensive backfield.
1) Re-sign White, Love and Anderson
2) Let Carter walk
3) Make hard push for Mario Williams, Carlos Rogers or Dashon Goldson
4) Make offers to veterans like Leonard, Sanders, Roth, Mathis, Gay and Allen

Draft:

1)Take a receiver and an impact player in the defensive front 7 with one of the top 4 picks.

My dad said it well:

"The Pats are the Colts, and Brady is Peyton.  If he doesn't have a nearly perfect game against a good opponent, the Pats lose unless they get really lucky."

Yep.

I really hope they can make some moves to become a more balanced team so everything isn't on Brady's shoulders, because it's obvious at this point that it's not fair or realistic to expect Brady to play perfect in every big game.

I didn't think their running game was bad but they abandoned it  way too quickly.
