to me those quotes could just as well indicate that they want to keep the big 3 together.  how are they gonna make it attractive for a guy like Dwight Howard or Durant a few years from now to come here if they're trading off once-in-a-generation type players who won championships, like KG and pierce?

But, don't forget about Howard-Shaq and Kobe-Howard cases. Howard doesn't want to follow Shaq's steps and then this guy says that Bynum is a better player. The cherry on top are Kobe's comments that Howard would be a third wheel.

I think it's much more attractive to Deron Williams and Howard if we have Gasol here.

Move Rondo, we have a gaping hole at PG and C.

Pierce/Jeff Green can man the SF, whilst Ray and KG can man the  bench as a nice combo coming in and helping hold onto leads.

Perfect for these two to slot in.
Gasol and Pierce's contracts end in 2014 as well.

to play on a championship contender, they would both be offered the 2.5 million dollar trade exception. We will have two of those 2.5 million exceptions.

You think if we got Howard and Gasol that those two wouldn't play for the Celtics for 2.5 million?
Wyc can repay them down the line with anything he wants when they 'work' for the Celtics.
