IMO, if Ainge breaks up the Big 3, it should be 2 of the 3

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=83g3g9t

BOS sends KG, Avery Bradley, Jujuan Johnson and NJ 2nd round pick to ATL
BOS sends Pierce and Clippers 1st pick to MEMPHIS

ATL send Marvin Williams to MEM and Josh Smith to BOS

MEM sends Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo to BOS

Honestly helps both teams immediately.
Boston ends up with a young core unit to run with Rondo
(Rondo,Ray/Mayo,Gay,Josh,Wilcox/Steisma)
Atlanta adds some size and youth to its team that needs a new refresher after losing hits main big(add in JO if they want)
Memphis gets a proven playoff veteran to get them to the finals and a young backup plus a pick they wanted for Mayo
Can't stop, Rondo!

Man, trade threads should be illegal lol! JK

Seriously though, why do you guys make so many different threads to propose basically the same trades over and over? I think if you take a few minutes to look into other trade threads you will find reason to either add onto that thread or not start a new one with the same idea! This could easily go into (it is, tbh) one of the trade ideas for Big Three or PP, or KG ideas threads (not actual titles but close enough)!

Not trying to start an argument or anything... I see a new thread and think maybe someone has a new idea but sadly it's all the same... then the new thread bumps another thread out of "Latest Forum Topics" when it shouldn't. Oh well, you have the right to post it, so have at it, I just wanted to add my piece and leave it at that! -hugs?-
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Rajon Rondo + Rudy Gay + Josh Smith + Omer Asik

At first I didn't like the idea of Rondo, Gay and J.Smith on the same team due to their salaries and how difficult it'd be to add enough top tier talent to the roster to give it a chance at building a contender. But ... if you could get Omer Asik on a solid contract as a free agent acquisition in the summer. That could be a workable foundation.

They'd still need another high level player to give them a chance at contending but that would be a very interesting foundation to work with long term. To add to and develop.

As for the trade, I cannot see Memphis or Atlanta agreeing to it.

Memphis won't take back Marvin Williams' contract in a Gay for Pierce trade. Too much salary. Have to find a new home for Marvin Williams elsewhere. Possible they may demand another first round pick too.

And Atlanta isn't receiving nearly enough value for Josh Smith. Send them OJ Mayo and another first round pick or two and maybe Atlanta considers the offer.

Rondo + Mayo + Gay + Smith + decent center = mediocre playoff team with a high chance of locker room issues

I'm not really interested.
