Does anyone else think arenas could come in and really help us from either guard spot?  I know he is a bit of a head case and he does not  address our defensive or rebounding issues.  We've had delonte, Marbury, Wallace, etc. so I think we can handle his quirks. Past that I think he would be perfect to spell rondo and ray and give us one other guy that can handle the ball and get his shot off and really help our struggling offense.

Am I as wacky as agent 0 to think he would be a great pick up? The guy is just waiting to be signed.

The fact that he is STILL waiting to be signed should be a telling sign that he is no longer the Arenas from 2007. And I want to point out that Delonte, Marbury, Wallace did not bring a gun into the locker room.  ::)

Clearly he is not going to be the 07 arenas, but we need to work with the restrictions that we have.  A guy who made a pretty stupid mistake, paid for it by a long suspension, and then got amestied will be extra eager to prove his worth.  He is still only about a year removed from being a pretty legitimate scorer and would help our team.  Plus he is 30 years old so he should have some miles left and bring some energy.

I would love to take a chance on him as our first guard off the bench and have him run with pietrus and bass.   Now there is a bench with some scoring bunch.

If watching KG and JO is frustrating people, why add the frustration of watching 2012 Arenas?

Arenas last year was hobbled --I have to believe that if he was able to move he would be signed by someone.

Why not go for the jugular right away. Jo Jo White is still available.

Guard play is not killing the Celtics right now.

He is not going to help the defense.

He is not going to help the rebounding.

He is more likely then the guards on the team now to break from the offense to just toss up bad shots.

While I agree with all that (especially that we need big man help more than guard help) Arenas is also more likely to make a shot than any of the guards on the team now other than Ray, especially at crunch time.

It has been more then two seasons since he did.
