Is it me or is this a pretty pointless quote/interview whatever it is.

The Celtics are under 500 and he basically says that he wouldn't rule out going in another direction if the team doesn't show improvement? Uh yeah no big surprise there.

I'm sure Pat Riley would be willing to go in another direction if the Heat were 500 up until the deadline.

I just hate when so many quotes get blown out of proportion and people start jumping up and down pointing saying "look what he said!!" when generally it is taken out of context and usually in a response to a question

Sorry for the rant but already sick of looking around the internet seeing these "ainge willing to go in different direction" and stupid other comments and headlines like that. I'm sure we will hear it on the broadcast tonight as well.

I think the way this team is looking so far this year, it might be worth it for Ainge to explore trading KG and Ray prior to the deadline to teams that could use them in the playoffs this year and maybe get a late 1st rounder in return.  I'm not sure who a viable trade partner would be, though.

You could trade KG to Portland for Camby and Felton (both expiring) and maybe get a pick out of it, but Portland would probably be better off just hanging onto those two.

Chicago has nobody to trade us to match salaries for Ray.

I think we are pretty much stuck with this team until the season ends.

THe only two options really are trading KG and/or Ray to teams looking to dump salary (like Atlanta dumping Joe JOhnson's horrifying contract for KG in a salary dump)... or finding a contender who thinks KG and/or Ray will put them over the top (in which case you'll be lucky to get a draft pick in return).  Unfortunately, good luck finding a contender or borderline contender who has enough salary to send back in a trade.  You MIGHT be able to do something like trade KG and/or Ray to Indiana (if Indiana is doing well by the trade deadline) for Danny Granger, because Granger has been HORRIBLE and apparently they like Paul George anyways.

I was going to say you could trade Ray to the Clippers for Mo Williams and a draft pick.  The Clippers might consider themselves a Ray Allen away from being contenders.  Unfortunately, I think Mo Williams has a player option for next year and he will probably end up taking it.

After what has happened the last two years Ainge had better be willing to go a different direction. Like whatever direction is home, cause he destroyed a very strong team.

I don't want to hear the Jeff Green bs. Ruined a very good team. He has to start doing his best work this instant.

why would we trade (if we did) for another pg (felton, mo williams)? You think they'd play sg? And geez camby? Really? I'd rather swallow Joe Johnson's contract and at least have a useful player.

celticsblog, where trading just for the sake of trading excels like no other.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
