Dont really see how you can justify Boozer being ahead of Bargnani or Bosh on the depth chart.
Boozer- 14 ppg 8 rpg
bargnani- 23 ppg 6rpg
bosh- 20 ppg 8 rpg

This guy has been lighting it up pretty consistently. Hes been going off ever since they switched him to the 4 last year.
23 ppg 23.63 PER. Hes dope.
I don't see how those stats are going to make him one of the top 2 vote-getters. Are those stats better than what Lebron and Melo have?
doesnt matter what lebron and melo have because bargnani plays the 4. The other contenders for the starting 4 in the all star game are chris bosh and amare stoudemire who both are averaging 2 points less than him. I recognize thats only 1 category but hes playing really well.
Take a look at a ballot. You vote for 2 forwards. You do not vote for a 3 and a 4. If Melo and Lebron get more votes, then one of them is the starting 4 for the east.

Does Stoudemire get enough votes with Anthony getting all the press out of NY these days? Amare is beginning to feel like a side kick.

I maybe wrong but i believe the all star game votes are for guards, forwards and a center. Meaning that melo and lebron will be the starting forwards. Either way any discussion about the allstar starters isn't worth it because its just a popularity contest, allstar weekend is more to do with the nba global marketing, nike, and Adidas.

Don't need to justify it, i actually don't like Boozer at all. I'd consider him one of the more overrated players of the past decade. It just seems to be the way it is.

It's politics, if The Bulls have the best record (or one of the best) in the East they will have multiple All-Stars. I personally think Deng is the best player on that team but he probably wont get the nod. Boozer is a former All-Star and a former big money acquisition... plus i do think he IS better than Bosh.

If it was me the lineup would look like this:

Rondo-Wade-Lebron-Stoudemire-Howard

then

Rose-Allen-Deng--Hawes

Your right about the G,G,F,F,C voting formula but I do think Stoudemire COULD beat out Anthony for votes.

It is a popularity contest but it is kind of hard to argue against Lebron and Melo.  I mean they are currently 1 and 3 in PPG in the league and are both pretty darn efficient.  They both pass and rebound well for SF's (lebron is 10th in the league in APG) and Melo is actually playing respectable defense for once (lebron is always among the league's best defensively).

Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson

I'm hearing the Dirk comparisons... but to me he compares more to Pau Gasol on the Grizzlies.  I'd like to see Bargs have a Pau-like role on a team with a bonafide superstar and see him transform his game similar to how Pau did when he joined the Lakers.  I'd like to see him join Derrick Rose in Chicago.  I think playing alongside a tall physical center like Noah would be great for Bargs' game.

Boozer + first round pick + future second for Bargs?  Not sure if Toronto would do this

I think Josh Smith would get on over Boozer, and I think Horford or Bogut would get on over Hibbert.
