Offense is offensive and I don't think Pierce is the complete answer

Getting Pierce and Pietrus will certainly help with spreading the floor and getting some more offense from the outside.  Ray and Dooling are the only guys right now giving us any offense from outside.  The only other reliable shooter on the floor at any point is Bass, and his range only extends so far.  So Pierce and Pietrus will certainly help a lot.

But you're right, a big part of the problem is that the C's have no inside presence at all.  KG is a shell of his former self and JO is a non-factor on the offensive end.  Neither KG nor JO finishes inside unless left wide open. 

Let these guys have a chance to develop a rhythm and play. It's been 3 games. KG was solid in NY. He was gassed last night. KG being a shell of himself is still a top ten PF in the NBA. The guy is arguably a top 3 PF EVER!!!

I disagree,  he "WAS" .... "is" an't happening no more ...sorry.

KG ...much as I like him ... needs to get use to sitting on the pines.

Trying my hardest not to rush to much judgement until i see our true starting 5 out there together.

I know the record is troubling, but i'm OK with a trial by fire for some of these new/young guys.  Let's see right now who has the stones and who doesn't.  Just hope we can navigate the storm in the meantime...

Tried the trade machine and it wasn't pretty. needed to do a 4 for 1 with JO, Pavlovic, bradley and wilcox.. 

We would obviously need to give them a pick but the trade machine doesn't account for that.

  It's possible that one reason they got tired is because of the short camp/preseason. Counter intuitive, but they really only had about 1/3 to 1/2 the time to get into shape and build up their stamina.

I'm with you. If they are gassed by the third game, they will need oxygen by the 30th and will be in rehabilitation by the 66th.

Without Pierce, Rondo's the only shot-creator we have.  When he's as passive/fatigued as he was last night, and Pierce is out, the offense dies.

Of more long-term concern is the defense.  I expected a lot more from a team starting KG and JO.

Pierce is a big part of the equation. Miami roughed up Ray pretty good, making offense hard to come by. With Pierce can't double Ray. Teams will continue to play off Rondo and Pavlovic until PP comes back. Still will need quickness. First unit with the exception of Rondo is loosing steam. Second unit with Marquis and Pietrus coming off an injury is also going to be lacking quickness unless we can play Jx3 or get Wilcox back.
