Rondo for jrue holiday straight up,do the sixers do it?

how about something like rondo/bradley/2012 2nd rounder for Jrue Holiday/evan turner


mix the trade up how ever you'd like i'd really like to see jrue in green

Straight up, yes they would. Too big of a talent upgrade to ignore. But he's a really bad fit for Turner and Iggy, so they'd need to flip one of the three for a shooter.

They wouldn't give up Turner for him, I think they value his potential too highly.

While I think Rondo is the better player...at least right now, I can't see Philly making that trade.  Too much potential there to pass up.  There is a decent chance Holiday passes Rondo in the next year or two, if he continues to improve anywhere close to the rate he has been.

Straight up, I think the advantage goes to Rondo, although I'm not sure what Philly's thinking would be.

When you start to discuss Jrue plus Turner, though, I think it becomes easy for Philly to turn us down.

I'm not sure its that decent. Rondo's skillset, while not an equal to Chris Paul's, is a decent head and shoulders above Holiday's.

Philly's lineups, both in the regular season and playoffs last year, seemed to be best when Holiday was in the lineup.  The team's best lineup was probably Holiday/Meeks/Iggy/Young/Brand.

I know that Doug Collins has indicated that Holiday will have the ball in his hands -- especially at the end of games -- even more this year, as he feels he's a better option over AI2.

Right, but Iggy was their primary ball handler stepping back from the scorer role he'd be trying to fill before.

If he's their starting PG, he should be but I'm not convinced he is.

I'm really not convinced that he's close to where Rondo is even in a few years.

And in Rondo's second year, the C's thrived when they took the ball away from Rondo, and let Pierce/Ray create....

I never said Holiday is better right now.  I am saying that he made a leap next year, and has the tools to make another leap this year.  And if he does, he has the potential to pass Rondo. 

Just looking at the numbers alone, her averaged 14 and 6.5 in his second season, as he helped lead his team to one of the best second half records in the league. 

Unless they think he has peaked, I think they will see his potential as too great to give up on it right now (he is only 21!), unless they are getting a true superstar in return.

And this isn't even mentioning the fact that the last thing Philly needs is another perimeter player that can't shoot.
