Is this worth going to?

I went last year, thought it was alright. Not sure if it's worth going to on an annual basis. Interested to see what you guys think on the topic

I have never gone to one before, but I will be going tonight, and am very excited about it.  Its just been so long without basketball, that I will take whatever I can get.

I also am curious to see whether some of these end of the bench guys can play at all.

Can we get a recap after?

Sure.  And I will hopefully not return incredibly depressed.

It's definitely worth going to. I went last year and I'll be going tonight. It's interesting to see how the guys run their sets/scrimmage. Most of the players stick around to sign autographs and toss their practice gear into the crowd.

Why wait, I can give you a recap right now.  Celtics only had 6 guys that weren't injured and allowed to play, so they started off with a quick game of 3-on-3.  Half way into that, Daniels playing on the Green team got injured, so they started playing 21.  Kevin Garnett surged ahead early grabbing just about every rebound off of several misses from Avery Bradley and Dooling.  Once Garnett got to 18 though, Brandon Bass tipped in a Garnett miss sending him back to 0.  Exhausted from the nearly 3 minutes of 3-on-3 play and the early dominance in 21, Garnett struggled to regain the points he lost.  Ray Allen then went on to win the game do to his never missing a free throw/3p pointer, while everyone else struggled to put together two consecutive makes and continually got knocked back to 0.   :P

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Awesome!!  Haha, TP.

In seriousness, I've been to one or two when the Big 3 first got together.  I couldn't even tell you if 1 or 2 because they really weren't that exciting.  I am going tonight though only because I'm taking a girl.  Planning on getting there on time today (for the first time) to see if that makes it any different in excitement.

Anybody recall of they'll be selling alcohol?

I hop this is on celtics.com being broadcasted, with no basketball for so long I'm curious to see our guys even in just a scrimmage.

You get to sit in the lower sections in the "center 6" area so that's nice for those who typically don't have $200+ to spend on a ticket.

Last year most of the star players walked torwards the tunnel immediately after the session and stopped to sign some autographs.  The lesser players were much more accessible.  For example anyone could walk up to Harangody to get his auto as he stayed on the sideline for a bit, with really no big crowd around him.  Ray Allen signed both of his shoes and threw them into the stands (actually Nate stole one of them and chucked it into the stands).  Shaq signed a ball and drop kicked it into the stands.  A gift was given to each person in attendance as you entered the area; it was a Celtics cap (either in white or green).  Sheed also showed up and sat on the sidelines.

I think last year was a little exicting because the team outlook was great, coming off a Finals appearance, and adding guys like Shaq, JO, Delonte.  This year the excitement is definitely lacking.  And Pierce probably won't be playing.

I forgot to add that it's general admission, if you get there early, you can easily sit very close to courtside.

I wonder who will MC this year with Baby traded.
