Ainge has had conversations with representatives for several players over the past week, including Cavaliers unrestricted free agent Anthony Parker.

Parker’s agent, Henry Thomas, confirmed the talks but he said a meeting has not been scheduled.

When Daniels went down with a bruised spinal cord last February, the Celtics were rumored to be interested in the 6-foot-6-inch, 210-pound Parker.

When Cleveland signed Parker before the 2009 season to put a shooter and defender around LeBron James, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said it was a more impressive offseason move than the Cavs signing Shaquille O’Neal that same summer.

Parker, 36, averaged 8.3 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds in 72 games for a hapless Cavs team last season.

The Cavaliers would like to resign Parker, and the New York Post reported the Knicks are also interested.

Minimal interest. I prefer Delonte as a backup two and hate A.Parker as a backup three (too small, too weak on defense and boards).

I was surprised to read that Cleveland where pursuing A.Parker strongly. They are offering a two year deal. They think he is an ideal veteran presence in the locker room on their young up and coming team.

I think there is a good chance Parker turns down that offer though in order to join a team that has a chance at a title. This is his "last hurrah". Unfortunately, he waited too long and he is no longer even a mediocre SG in this league.
