Right now, nothing is happening.

Sure, there are rumors of plenty.  Dream scenarios and nightmares.

But nothing is happening.

Yet.

I am hoping for the NBA to have a period much like the NFL did when their lockout lifted of heavy player movement.  I would love to see a drastically different NBA where more teams take chances and look to make that big trade.

We, the NBA fans have had no movement to talk about in such a long time.  We are at a point where there is almost no trade idea left to play with in the the trade checker.

We want some action.

As long as the NBA does not make the mistake of allowing the big move to happen on the weekend (it will get 2nd page treatment after football at that point), they have a chance to grab some real positive attention this week.

Be careful what you wish for, my friend.

I think all heck breaks loose this weekend.

Will it be something to talk about?

Then bring it on.

How about this idea?

Boston get cp3

Pacers get rondo and later signs nene

Memphis gets Josh mcroberts s+t starting salary at 3-4 mill and draft picks

NO gets Darren collison, oj mayo, Roy hibbert, and big baby s+t maybe at 4 mill

Of course this deal is continent that nene signs in Indy. That Memphis still has interest in mcroberts, doesnt want to extend mayo, and would like picks. Also that NO has interest in BBD for a s+t.

Draft picks would have to be moved and looking at the trade packages I don't think the clips pick needs to be moved.

Hornets have a hard time finding a package of better young players then that. Pacers get an upgrade at center and definitely at PG. Memphis gets a deal they almost did at the deadline and possibly a little better if they get more picks. Boston gets Paul.

Great to see Im not the only one getting restless! ;D

TP wd...

I have a feeling that in a week, no matter we are going to be on this forum scratching our heads wondering how Danny pulled off what he did.

I just hope it is an improvement like in 07 and not a step back like last year at the deadline.

I think there is zero chance DA stands pat this week.

I haven't seen anything new regarding the Celtics.  Sounds like a lot of players are interested elsewhere right now.  We may have to wait for the leftovers.

Also, there's some small rumor about the Lakers may get Chris Paul and Dwight Howard.  Yipee.

I can't see that happening.  Not enough assets for LA to make those moves in trades and they won't have the cap space to sign either as a FA.

What a revoltin' development that would be.  (I could live with them both with the Clippers.)

This could mean we are viewed as too old to latch on to win a title by players anymore.   This was a big draw for us in the past.  If we are left with just crumbs I don't like our chances.

Why would you say, yipee?? was that sarcasm??? I think fi they get both these guys, say I'd say LA would easily be the favorites.

I've been refreshing my browser seeing if anything has gone down...I guess I'm restless too. I want it to be next weekend already, or is it Friday when the lockout get officially lifted?
