After going months without any NBA hoops, fans will get to gorge on plenty of it come December 25th. From the NY Times: “The N.B.A. will start its lockout-delayed season with five games on Christmas Day, said a person with knowledge of the schedule who was not authorized to discuss it publicly. The first game will be on TNT, followed by two on ABC and two on ESPN. The league will announce the details of the five-game opening day on Friday. The first game will begin at noon Eastern, followed by tip-offs at 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. When it was to be a tripleheader, the lineup was Boston-Knicks, Miami-Dallas and Los Angeles Lakers-Chicago.”

Who wants to place bets on the other 2 games?  My money's on OKC-Clippers and Orlando-San Antonio.

Close.

Magic @ Thunder and Clippers @ Golden State.

Link.

I'm still confused as to why the Warriors play so often on Christmas.

I guess the bay area was the largest market left after covering dallas, LA, nyc, chicago, boston.
Markets and also time zone considerations. Since the Lakers typically are one of the earlier games they need a pacific time zone team to get the west coast eyeballs.

via Howard Beck's twitter: Full schedule will be announced Tuesday at 7pm on NBATV.

One would hope they won't announce the full schedule on the air...

Ha very true.  Hopefully they will post it online not too long after.

What else do they have to show on NBATV?  Why not a 6 hour marathon going through every game....

Their definition of classics is much broader than mine, not to mention the constant Teen Wolf and Hoosiers being shown.

Are you saying that people shouldn't watch Hoosiers 21 times per week?

Haha. That reminds me, though, haven't seen Hoosiers in quite a while, better get on it before the season starts...

It cracks me up that they play Teen Wolf on NBA TV haha.

The Chicago - LA game should be a great matchup. Not overly interested in the others.

Too early for a rematch of last year's finalists. Wasteful.

New York and their unbalanced team doesn't excite me. The Clippers and Warriors is a dud. The Magic and OKC game is okay but I'd rather see OKC tested by someone better than Orlando.
