Given how Troy Murphy played last season, I doubt he is on many teams radar. However, since the Celtics have had a much closer look than other teams at him, I would be very much for a resigning.
If nothing he would be a rather useful and versatile big-man, even if he is the 10th player in the rotation. Should he return somewhat to his former self I could see him being a key piece off the bench, potentially even a 6th man. This is of course rather wishful thinking, but, an injury ridden season aside, Murphy has always been able to play and produce fairly well.
If he is available for the cheap (which I assume), it is a "low risk, high reward" type of deals that Danny likes to make.
