From what I got in the article it sounds like either the players cave or we end up starting the season in december.

Pretty good article that articulates pretty well how I have felt about the whole lockout.  I'm not that spiteful of a person, but I'm going to soon feel some serious animosity towards the owners if they don't make some concessions and get a deal done to start the regular season on time.  These owners bought teams under the OLD CBA, then have screwed themselves over with horrid free agent signings, and now the players are making some concessions from that old CBA that the crying owners originally bought into, but these owners are willing to lose a season due to their necessity to be guaranteed a profitable business since they don't have faith in their ability to create profit on their own.  Drives me crazy.

Well, I'm not surprised.  I've know all along the owners had no interest in making a deal.  They only want to dictate terms.  Terms that no person in their right mind would agree to.

I hope Wojo is wrong about how bad it really is, but I doubt it.  The players are soon going to be left with no other option, other than decertification.  Once that happens, expect long drawn out legal battles.  There will be no season, maybe even multiple seasons will be missed.  I suspect if the owners continue to push the players, they're going to say "enough is enough" and go for all out war themselves.

One can only try to negotiate in good faith for so long, while being disrespected and blown off by the other side, before the lid finally blows.
