Wade over Pippen...NO WAY!

and o heres a quote from KG of Howard in the link

Words: “That kid is a freak of nature, man. I don’t know what they put in the milk these days for these young kids, but that kid is a freak of nature. I was nowhere near that physically talented. I wasn’t that gifted, as far as body and physical presence” (Kevin Garnett).

I hope Howard reads this  ::)

Definitely depends on what you are slotting the players on.   Were it winning LeBron would  not even make the list.   I actually think this list is pretty decent and the guy knows his b-ball.   I think the C's were very well represented.   Too bad this guy is the sole picker for the Hall of Fame, DJ would have made it in alive....

I think he looked at winning and production with a slight nod to winning otherwise Russ would not be rated so high.

Rankings are somehow stupid, but when they include players from different eras, they become plainly silly.

How can you rank George Mikan aka "Mr. Basketball" at 31? I haven't seen him playing, but he was the first big player, the leader of the Minneapolis Lakers whose 5 titles are claimed by the Los Angeles team. And then you got "the logo" at #11, Bryant at #10 and Baylor at #13? He should be the  second or third Laker on this list, only Shaq and Kareem are comparable to Mikan.

And Tommy is #79? I don't get it.

Russell should be #1, 2nd to 5th should be, by no particular order, Bird, Magic, Jordan and Chamberlain. But it'd still be a stupid ranking.

I think Mikan gets knocked down a bit due to his short career (5 1/2 NBA seasons, plus one year in the BAA), and for his low FG% (40.1% for his career, with four seasons below 40%).  Based upon that, 31st all-time isn't too shabby.

See here for a lot of the counter-argument.
