My idea for the new CBA is to create added incentives to keep star players with their teams for the length of their careers. My plan would be for the salaries of player to count progressively less against the cap after they have been with a franchise five years after their three year rookie contract. This along with the rules that allow current teams to offer there players a higher max contract will allow teams to keep aging stars. This would allow owners who are willing to spend the extra $$ to potential build from the draft dynasties that stay together for years.  This would avoid the situations where teams can’t continue to grow because there star has aged and his contract is to big to manage. Team like the Cs with pierce, Lakers with Kobe, or Dallas with Dirk will be able to sign new young players to play along side there aging franchise players. A situation like this might have kept Hakeem out of Toronto or a Ewing out of Orlando at the ends of there playing days. Though as a Cs fan I’m glad he is ours it would have helped KG stay and compete in min instead of his contract leaving his team in a choke hold.
