Part of new CBA should be ban on in-game sound effects

They don't have it in the NHL or NFL. No need for music and sound effects to be playing at unGodly volumes while the game is going on.

Never realized that, but I think it's an accepted part of the game.  I don't really have any problem with it.

The Dallas Mavericks turned them off for a night a couple of years ago and surveyed their fans on whether they preferred their "game experience" with or without the music + sound effects.

The majority of ticket holders preferred the music + sound effects so they brought them back. I imagine you'd see the same result / reaction league wide. That some fans really hate it but that the majority like it.
