Which Rondo has reached his potential?
The Rondo who was torching the NBA and was considered by many to be an MVP candidate through half of last season...
-or-
The Rondo who was gutting through the second half of last season clearly laboring through a myriad of injuries and then gutted it out after having his arm mangled in the playoffs??
It really doesn't matter because this team is obviously better with Rondo then it would be without him since none of the aging Big Three is capable of consistently creating offense by themselves and they all rely on Rondo to get them easy shots.
I'd deal him for a clear upgrade at his position(Chris Paul, the only PG I see as a clear upgrade) or a clear upgrade to the starting five....neither scenario is likely to happen.
Trading him for anything less(Raymond Felton??) would be counter productive.
Even those people who are dying to rid the Celtic's of Rondo should understand that he is this teams best trading chip, clearly it's most valuable asset. You only move that asset if it clearly betters your team now and in the future. The "BIG THREE ERA" is coming to a close so the Celtic's cannot continue to build their team around their skill sets.
