Sources say that the Charlotte Bobcats (9), Milwaukee Bucks (10) and Golden State Warriors (11) are also open to moving their picks. In this case the interest is all pretty specific. The Knicks, and a handful of other teams, are trying to get ahead of the Jazz. The target? BYU’s Jimmer Fredette.

Billups, Jimmer, Melo and Amare together, trying to play defense, would be nothing short of hilarious. MAKE IT HAPPEN, ISIAH THOMAS!

I actually think Jimmer is a good fit for their system.

The interesting thing though is that Walsh is still running the draft.

Bobcats looking to trade the pick? I hadn't heard that. Thought they were feeling the heat to make that pick count.

I'd have to disagree. Even on the offensive end, you've got your mind set on building around two dynamic scorers who prefer to have the ball in their hands, and at some points can kill ball movement. On top of that, you have Chauncey Billups for another year who also has a tendency to do the same.

What's the benefit, even offensively of adding a player like Jimmer?

I wonder what's the asking price on one of those picks.

An illogically fitting offensive player who goes by one name doesn't sound like Isiah Thomas to you?

If they want underszied SG who plays PG they already have Toney Douglas.

Yes, Thomas is an overall terrible GM, but he has a talent for the draft.

Was he the one who drafted Balkman and Sweetney?

He's involved in trade rumors for Johnny Flynn, apparently.

I'm not sure, but he did draft Channing Frye, David Lee, Wilson Chandler, Trevor Ariza, and Nate Robinson.

Not a bad haul.

interesting thought... isnt jimmer the kind of player that would help us alot off the bench... the celtics system could help hide some of his defensive warts..

hell if eddie house produced as much as he did dont we think jimmer could be a big help?

I get the spirit of this post, Isiah Thomas should be the gift that keeps on giving but the draft was only thing he did well as a GM and he did it very well.  I doubt he would try to trade up for Jimmer or if he did, then that would speak well of Jimmer.
