Not sure if this has been posted up here or not, but just read that NeNe is working on an extension with the Nuggets, a 3 year extension.

I know his name has been brought up a lot in different posts, as a potential free agent signing.

I personally always thougt he was way too expensive for the C's but, i guess there was always that slim possibility.

Here's the article:

There goes one of the potential 2012 free agents (although it was always likely he'd hit free agency this year).

Interesting.  I would not be surprised if there are a few more of these over the next 3 weeks.  I am sure these guys see the writing on the wall, so if they can get an extension under the current CBA, I think they will do it.

Tyson Chandler, and David West especially are prime candidates for this, and I would not be completely shocked if one of the big 2012 guys (Paul, Williams, Howard) re-ups before July 1st.

Yup, get the big money while it's on the table to be taken.

not someone that I was interested in anyway for the celtics, so no big loss to us

Yeah, but the more options, the better.  When there are only a few good players available, it drives prices up, including for mediocre players.
