Best and most memorable socks: Keith Van Horn

  Was Korver in the running?

I was always partial to Kerry Kittles myself when it came to socks.

As a Cuse fan I'd like to push for Lawrence Moten, but then I remembered Lawrence Moten was never memorable for anything.  Nice college player though.

Woah woah woah.  This is NBA history, not Big East or Syracuse history. Also it is greatest, not favorite.  But thanks for reactivating a memory cell in my brain I surely was about 3 days from losing

Between Kittles, Moten, and Van Horn; I think you have to say that mid-90s college basketball was the Golden Age of Socks.

Wasn't Jason Terry in that mix too I think? Josh Childress?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Kerry Kittles, Keith Van Horn, Lawrence Moten? If I didn't know better I would think we were talking strategy for Coach K Basketball on the Sega Genesis. Throw in some O'Bannon brothers and a Big Nasty, and you got a stew goin.

Jordan

Agreed! After the 1st championship I thought Jordan was really good. After the 2nd thought he was amazing. After the 3rd I was convinced he would be one of the greatest ever. The last two was just icing on the cake at that point. Especially that final sequence against Utah which pretty much sums up everything. He showed both defense, and offense on the biggest stage in which we thought was his last game.

Bill Russell and Michael Jordan.  If we are talking popularity and public appeal, I will add Bird and Magic, holding a spot for Lebron when he finally retires.
