Just out of curiousity do you think Danny could pull off this series of trades?  I should prefice it by saying that had he done it earlier in the season or a a day before the trade deadline when it looked like everyone was at their peak and the various players we got weren't, it would have been a lot more easier...

Garnett and Pierce for Camby and Oden and Wallace
Rondo and Kristc for Wall and McGee
THEN...
Davis (sign and trade) and McGee and West for Cousins and Casspi
Allen and Shaq for Asik and Brewer
Wallace and Brewer and Jermaine for Favors and Hayward

So basically the Celts would have a core of:

Wall, Hayward, Casspi, Favors, Cousins, Asik, Oden, Green and Camby(who they could ship off for someone else, a 2nd rounder, or just let his contract expire.

The truth is, I expect Danny to pull a lot of trades this offseason because any good businessman knows that you buy low and sell high - and everyone on our team (including Rondo) has reached their peak I think... and the Big Three are on the descent.

The short answer is no.

But to elaborate, I don't think either team does the Portland trade (not enough skill coming to Boston, and too much size leaving Portland).

I don't think Washington would even pick up the phone about ANY deal for Wall right now, and certainly not if they are also giving up McGee.

I also don't think Sacramento is ready to consider trading Cousins for anything short of a superstar.

The Allen for Asik and Brewer trade is a little more interesting though (I don't think Shaq would be involved from either side).  I have a feeling the C's would turn it down unless they really love Asik, but I have a feeling that the Bulls would absolutely love to get their hands on Allen, and might consider giving up either Asik or Gibson as the main piece for him (along with either Brewer or Korver).

And again, I don't think Utah has much interest in giving up Favors for anything short of a star right now (and Wallace is not really a star).

He could. Question is why would he want to? that team would be awful for years to come.

What they said, plus I'm pretty sure it is not even possible. I'm pretty sure each team has to wait 30 days to trade a newly aquired player.

No.

I think you're being too optimistic.  The correct answer is "hell no".

Doesn't seem too far-fetched at all.

That's pretty much how I see it (in terms of whether the other team would make the trade).
