Danny Ainge should bring him back. He showed flashes short stints with the Celtics & the Trailblazers. C's won't ask a lot from him simply play defense (block shots) and run up the court on fast breaks. CJ has shown the ability to hit the occasional jumpers. The down side is his slim frame center will abuse him. I would then slide him to the 4.

Bench
Delonte
Avery or FA or Rookie
Green
CJ
JO or Samuel Dalembert

There usually is a reason guys are in the D League.  Johnson's is that he is too skinny (i.e., lacks strength).  He would get destroyed in the NBA.  No thanks.

Very few guys in the NBA have post up game. If push comes to shove put size next to him, slide CJ to the 4. Chris Johnson has a rare speed, and athleticism for someone his size. Anyway CJ is an intriguing prospect FA.

CJ should be on an unguaranteed contract for the Blazers next season, if reports are correct.

The Celtics should seek someone like him though.  They could use an athletic shotblocker off the bench, but need one who is a better rebounder.  They're not going to find that among established free agents, so they're best chance is to find one with a raw offensive game toiling in the D-League or as an undrafted free agent.

I would sincerely be willing to try and replace Big Baby's minutes with Jeff Green, Troy Murphy (if he looks to be recovered from his injuries) and Chris Johnson or a similar player.

I remember him. Wasn't he like 6" 11" and 150 pounds. Not thanks. Maybe bring him to training camp and maybe the 15th guy on the roster, but that is the max.

This guy sounds like a reasonable CJ clone, likely available in the 2nd round:
