I know, I know. This is the guy was sleepwalking during the regular season and never in shape

But there was a big NEED for Sheed!!

With all of the injured bigs on the roster, Sheed would have really helped. Great post defense, outside shooting, length,  toughness, rebounds

Sheed could have added toughness, size, experience, and HEALTH. Sheed might have been banged up by the time the Finals rolled around... but he at least was out there playing.

2011: JO + Shaq = 72 GP (including Playoffs)

2010: Rasheed = 103 GP (including Playoffs)

IF you don't think he would have helped then your just hating on Sheed.

in 2010 Rasheed Wallace gave The Celtics a steal and a block a game with 22 MPG... nobody gave them that this past season.


Per 36-

Sheed '10: 14pts, 6reb, 1.6ast, 1.6stl, 1.4blk, 1to, 4pf

Baby '11: 14pts, 6reb, 1.5ast, 1stl, .5blk, 1to, 3pf

Numerically they may be comparable, but you can't make up for the fact that EVERYONE in the league can finish over Glen Davis.

You're totally totally right
All the Sheed hate made no sense
Shaq was actually the opposite. Gave you his all in the regualar season, but did nothing in the post season

Maybe its because I'm still in a bit of shock that the C's are outta the playoffs (it hurts me just saying that), but I think this is a bit unfounded and optimistic.

Well not unfounded, and I bet we could've found use for Sheed at points, but the guy was done mentally. He didn't wanna do it anymore. That's why he retired in the middle of a 2 yr deal.

If Rasheed Wallace was in a position to give the C's 10 mins a game, and he wanted to be here, he would've been here.

Of course, trusting completely in Danny's ability to foresee how things can turn out didn't work out so well this season (SHAKING HAND AND SCREAMING PERKINNNNSSS!!!! TONY ALLENNNNN!!!!)..so maybe you're right.

I'm just not ready for woulda coulda shoulda yet.
