My knowledge about the salary situation, available players and stuff like that that is very vague. But I do feel strongly about a few things:
First and foremost. Paul Pierce will retire a Celtic. One way or another
I would love the Big Three to be kept. They are ancient but they can still play. One of the big reasons they look so terrible this playoffs is because Doc rode them to hard, which in turn(my opinion) came back to bite them in the rear. They shouldn't have played 40 minutes a game. When their contracts expire, they can resign with a lot less money and become very solid role players.
Rondo should return. He knows the plays. He knows Doc. His jump shot has been showing up and I think he'll get a good J sooner than most people think. He is STILL IMPROVING as a player. Sign Chris Paul? Weren't we complaining about the roster being old? I say nay. His knees are ticking time bombs that will explode. Chris Paul is gonna be a Knick anyways.
Resign: Von Wafer, Delonte West, Jeff Green, Avery. Jeff Green is making a comeback and I think the decision of keeping him should be made in next season's deadline.
Shed the scrubs (i.e. Arroyo, Murphy, Sasha Pavlovic). The Centers will retire.
Glen Davis is really really iffy at this point.
Krstic will probably go but if he stays, he's gonna be getting less money for it since I don't think any other team really wants him. His offense is pretty decent.
From what I see, even if they get existing solid bigs, they'd lose out a lot in the other positions. I'm curious about their 2012 draft pick and the options in the D-League and other alternate sources for their center and PF needs.
I'm really really sorry if I sounded like complete idiot and got everything wrong. But from what I see, blowing up the team will hurt them a huge lot more than keeping the core. Team chemistry is very important as seen in the Perk trade and blowing it up will not help. All they really need at this point is a center and a PF.
