First deal:
Boston trades: Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green (S&T), Clippers pick
New Orleans trades: Chris Paul, Carl Landry (S&T)
Second deal:
Boston trades: Ray Allen, Avery Bradley, Nenad Krstic (S&T), 2011 #1 pick, 2013 #1, Minnesota #2
Philadelphia trades: Andre Iguodala, Spencer Hawes (S&T)
Then, we spend the MLE signing either Battier or Tayshaun Prince to play backup SF.
Yes, it would be complicated, and yes, it's a pipe dream, but hey, a guy can hope, right?
Our new lineup:
C: J.O. / Shaq / Hawes
PF: KG / Landry
SF: Pierce / Prince
SG: Iggy
PG: CP3 / Delonte
drop the S&T piece of the first deal and go with that.
second deal seems a high price to pay for Iggy. Ray, Bradley, 2 #1's, a high #2. That's a lot for a guy that will essentially be playing out of position and isn't that great a shooter for your SG. also, Krstic and Hawes pretty much cancel each other out. (well, I actually think Krstic is worth a little more as a former starting center that actually has some offensive moves)
On the line-up, Shaq's done. There's no real shooters other than your new PG. you'd really need to score well in free agency to fill out that roster with another backup PG (lets face it, Delonte will not get through an entire year healthy), a backup SG that can shoot and another center that will actually be healthy enough to play (and contribute) since JO isn't someone to bank on and Hawes rarely makes his presense felt in a game.
Ideally, keep Green to back up PP. sign a live body C and PF with the MLE. use the LLE on a shooter. (or mix and match the MLE/LLE to get what we need)
Keep either Bradley or the 2013 #1 pick. Bradley and Delonte as the bench backcourt next year might be a pretty good unit for pressing the other bench.
