Assuming that there's a high risk of him re-injuring the elbow, I would consider starting West just to see if we can get away with not playing Rondo tonight. Maybe even start Arroyo just to keep West on his role.
You've had too many Budweisers my friend, this game is do or die if he suits up he's gotta start.

All I'm saying is that if you start West for example, and you get off to a good start, then you might not end up needing Rondo. If it seems we need him, then you insert him and see what he gives you. Else, you get away with not having to risk him in a game were we win without him.

For all the talk about Rondo on Saturday, I thought West was the best PG in that game.

Arroyo says Rondo is ready to go: http://www.necn.com/05/09/11/Arroyo-on-Rondo-Hes-ready-to-go/landing_sports.html?blockID=519340&feedID=3352

When reporters entered the team's practice facility Rondo was seen shooting free throws, but did not appear to be sporting any sort of sleeve or brace on the injured elbow. When Rondo returned to the floor on Saturday after suffering the injury, he played almost solely with his right arm, but Arroyo said he was moving his left arm more this morning.

"Yeah, a little bit," Arroyo said of Rondo moving his left arm. "It still bothers him. He's sore. It was a huge injury. But I know he's ready."

Can you guys stand my positivity today? I hope it doesn't backfire on me!

Quick! Say something negative before you mess up the voodoo!
i'll field this one.

Did Danny Ainge or a member of the medical staff say his elbow wouldn't keep him out? Because if so he's gone for the next two years with a leg problem.

Don't worry Vinnie. I got your back.  8)

I hear what you're saying but just think the game is too big season on the line if Rondo is suiting up he's earned the right to start. If we start somebody else get off to a poor start eventually dropping the game there'd be a huge backlash for doing so.

If Rondo's limited to the point he's hurting the team Doc said he'll just take him out.
"7ft PG. Rondo leaves and GUESS WHAT? We got a BIGGER point guard!"-Tommy on Olynyk

Maybe it will improve his FT%

When Rondo came back into Game 3, I was wondering the same thing.  Kind of like in Rookie of the Year, maybe he'll have an awesome jumpshot now.

This is great an all... But Rondo is right handed and shoots his free throws that way. Just because he is shooting free throws with his uninjured hand doesnt mean too much to me.

Yes, but read what Arroyo said. Says Rondo seemed to be moving his left arm fairly well. We shall see. I am staying positive. I ahve a meeting tonight and have to miss much of the game. Will be following as much as possible on the Blackberry, however.

Just a question, has Arroyo been dressing or is he one of the three inactives?  If he is inactive, they can dress him tonight, right, just for insurance?

Dressed, but DNP-CD for first two games.

Did not dress for Game Three.

I believe he will be dressed tonight. Probably deactivate murphy for this game.

That's what I figured, liklihood of needing Dropkick is even less with Shaq giving us at least a few minutes.

Didn't it used to be that you had to pick your 12 guys at the beginning of the series, not game-by-game?
