I feel like this is our biggest advantage in the series....surely KG isnt going to get 28points every game...BUT, Bosh(especially) and Joel anthony are no match for him in the post...if he can stay agressive like this the next game, I like our chances..

and if the Heat decide to double him? youve got shooters like Ray allen and paul pierce just waiting on the outside.

It was so nice seeing KG get in there last night, it's been so rare to see that this season.  His length and quickness allow him to be absolutely dominant in a series like this in the post.  Bosh and Anthony are simply, not quick enough or long enough to deal with him.  I don't expect 18 boards every night, but KG can score 20-25 a night for the rest of the series if they use him as a number 1 option inside.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
his post game was very good but the thing that the Heat really struggled against was the pick n roll with him and Rondo.
Garnetts jumpshot is so good that they have to commit to him one way or the other and Rondo's timing is just brilliant.

Read that last line again. One more time.

Yes, but the major thing was that he actually rolled.  He tends to pop after setting the screen.  The pick and roll between those two should be unguardable especially while having Pierce and Allen around the perimeter.

Rondo and Garnett have played the pick and roll or pop game beautifully with lots of success over the course of the last few seasons.  I have not seen KG make a conscious effort to establish post position and score on the block like that in a long time, though.  That was great, and there really isn't much Bosh or Anthony can do to stop him.

Keep it up, guys.

Like I typed in Sat afternoon.  He has to average 20 and 10 the rest of the way in this series.  KG greed is good.  Remember that!

I think if KG rolls to the basket more off the pick n roll that will also help our offensive rebounding. The fact that PP and Ray are available for the 'pop' is the obvious protection if the defense sags or he gets doubled.

I also think when JO is picking up his game (as he has lately in small flashes) it also helps free up KG offensively. JO can get back on defense and KG doesnt have to worry about it as much if he crashes the boards offensively every so often.

An effective JO is a more effective KG. ;D

When's the last time KG was aggressive for a few games in a row? If he can sustain it, however, I think the C's have a chance.

Darn right.  JO has been great.  Wouldn't mind seeing them go to him more offensively either.

But defense has been the real story.  He's easily the best shot blocker the C's have had since McHale and Parish left and maybe even longer than that.
